Spatial 3D & WebGL Graphics Engineer
Develop interactive 3D web environments, CAD/BIM architectural walkthroughs, and custom Three.js WebGL/WebGPU shaders.
About the role
### Role Overview At Nexlyra, our Spatial Computing division bridges civil architectural precision with interactive digital media. You will lead the development of real-time 3D web configurators, architectural walkthroughs, and immersive WebGL applications that run smoothly across mobile and desktop browsers. ### Core Responsibilities - Engineer interactive 3D web applications using Three.js, React Three Fiber (R3F), and GLSL shaders. - Optimize complex CAD, BIM, and Blender 3D models for real-time web delivery (DRACO compression, texture atlasing, LOD management). - Build camera controls, lighting rigs, post-processing pipelines, and physics interactions for architectural walkthroughs. - Ensure cross-platform performance: maintain 60 FPS on low-power mobile devices and high-end workstations alike. - Collaborate with architectural designers to translate CAD blueprints into interactive virtual twins. ### Compensation & Perks - Premium graphics workstation or GPU-equipped laptop provided. - Project completion royalties on high-ticket architectural walkthrough deployments. - Continuous learning budget for computer graphics and spatial computing resources.
Requirements
- 3+ years experience with WebGL, Three.js, or related 3D frameworks. - Strong mathematical foundations in 3D linear algebra (vectors, matrices, quaternions). - Experience optimizing 3D assets for the web (glTF/GLB formats, mesh reduction, draw call optimization). - Proficiency with modern web technologies: TypeScript, React, and Canvas API. - A strong portfolio of interactive 3D or WebGL projects.
